Extension to limited public access – Spring/Summer 2023

We have now extended our limited public access to include certain urgent and time sensitive requests, including publication or submission deadlines, commercial deadlines or funding requirements. In person access will still only apply where we cannot provide a remote or digital alternative and we will continue to prioritise statutory and legal enquiries.

Each request will be considered on a case-by-case basis against our access criteria and all requested documents checked for suitability for production. The safety of our staff and our collections remains a priority.

There will be a minimum 3-week lead time to produce documents to allow essential conservation checks and strict movement protocols to be followed.
