Call out for exhibition designers

We’re seeking to appoint a designer for the design and production of two exciting and creative touring exhibitions funded as part of the National Lottery Heritage Fund supported Staffordshire History Centre project.

‘From Leek to Llandudno’ looks at how Staffordshire people spent their holiday time in the 20th century, focussing on seaside holidays.  It starts at the Brampton Museum in Newcastle-under-Lyme in January 2025 and tours 3 venues.

‘Knowing Your Onions’ features historic recipes from the archive and museum collection and co-curated or co-created content from community groups on food related topics. This small-scale exhibition will tour 8—10 community venues from late September 2024.

Both exhibitions will appeal to a broad audience and will feature Staffordshire Archives & Heritage Service’s archive, museum and library collections.

The full brief can be downloaded below.

The deadline for expressions of interest is 12th May 2024.  Please contact Collections Manager, Chris Copp chris.copp@staffordshire.gov.uk with any queries.
