Throughout September and October we will be showcasing and celebrating local history during the Staffordshire History Festival. This annual event is supported by archives and heritage and led by our libraries and arts colleagues.
This year our main festival events include our sold out heritage open day and brand new walking tours of Eastgate Street in Stafford. For our youngest history fans we will be taking our spookiest objects out to Stafford and Lichfield Libraries, just in time for Halloween!
Look out for local history highlights on our social media channels, including a new mini documentary created by local students.
You will also be able to see us out and about at Perton History Fair on the 7th October. The team at Perton Library have planned an amazing history themed escape room and there will be exhibitors, reenactors and local history groups with lots of free hands on activities to try.

You can read more about the festival in this newsroom article and can search for festival events on the Staffordshire Connects website or view our events here.
